Jadyson Costa

Professor Jadyson Andre Costa is a 4th degree black belt and professor at Unity Jiu Jitsu Academy in Grand Rapids, MI.  Professor Jadyson is highly experienced in jiu jitsu, muay thai, and MMA.  He is the former South African Champion in MMA and is currently the IBJJF Masters Featherweight Champion in No Gi winning gold in California in December 2022.

His training is non-stop where he starts training many days a week at 5:00 a.m. before opening the academy to students at 6:00 a.m.  He teaches and trains throughout the day and often will end his day after 9:00 p.m.

Professor Jadyson is a fierce competitor who competes on average once or twice a month himself as well as accompanying many of his students who are in the competition jiu jitsu circuit as well as up and coming MMA Champions.

​

Jadyson is dedicated to the sport and to Gitana Fightwear and the mission that we serve to elevate athletes, the sport, and give back to the community through scholorships, sponsorships, and St. Jude Children's Hospital.  We are very fortunate to have Professor Jadyson as part of our team!
